Origin of Samue
In Zen temples, daily tasks such as cleaning and gathering firewood are called "samu" (作務). The work attire worn during these activities came to be known as "samue", which later became the basis for the traditional Japanese workwear Samue.
This piece features a 25mm-wide twill tape drawstring, creating a unique silhouette. The back pocket is lined with mesh, providing breathability and comfort.
This fabric features a design inspired by the pattern of the moray eel, also known as the "gangster of the sea," and is incorporated into a hybrid three-layer material.
※Three-layer fabric consists of three bonded layers: an outer layer, a middle layer (such as a specialized film), and an inner lining. The special film in the middle layer provides waterproof functionality while maintaining breathability, preventing stuffiness inside the garment. This unique material achieves the seemingly contradictory functions of being waterproof yet breathable.

作務衣からインスパイアされたボトム。務衣の由来 禅門では、掃除や採薪などの日々の業務を「作務（さむ）」と呼ぶそうです。 この時に着用する作業着を作務衣と称したことが、和服『作務衣』のルーツだと言われています。25mm巾綾織テープの紐がポイントになり、シルエットができます。バックポケットは裏メッシュ仕立てで通気性を兼ね備えています。
素材について
海のギャングという異名を持つウツボの柄をハイブリット素材3レイヤーに落とし込んだ素材。※3レイヤー生地とは 表地と中間層(フィルムなど特殊素材)、そして裏地の3層を圧着させてできている能素材です。 中間層の特殊フィルムにより、生地に防水性能を持たせつつ、透湿性を確保することで、洋服内がむれにくくなっており、水は通さないが、蒸れにくいという一見矛盾する機能を両立した素材です。
