"The Happi Jacket"

The Happi Jacket is a traditional garment that was originally worn by craftsmen in the Edo period as formal attire. Today, it is often seen at festivals and special events. We have redesigned the Happi Jacket with a modern IKI-style pattern, aiming to bring it back as an everyday fashion item that Japanese people can easily wear.

Features:

1. IKI BASE Body Base

   – A relaxed fit with extra room in the body and sleeves, making it suitable for wearers from 155cm to 180cm. (Only one size is available at the moment; see model for reference.)

2. Hybrid Fabric

   – Made from high-tech materials such as water-repellent fabric, 3-layer textiles, and ripstop.

3. Traditional Patterns

   – The design will vary each season, incorporating classic Japanese aesthetics.

4. Details

   – Features large side pockets, accessible from two openings for added functionality.

5. Silhouette – Adjustable side slits with buttons allow for layering with inner pieces like T-shirts while offering a versatile silhouette.

6. Haori Cord

   – The decorative cord is carefully handwoven with reflective elements, adding a stylish accent.

This fusion of tradition and innovation makes the IKI Happi a unique piece that blends cultural heritage with contemporary fashion.

This fabric incorporates a design inspired by Seigaiha (Blue Ocean Waves)—a traditional Japanese pattern featuring continuous semicircles representing waves, symbolizing wishes for lasting happiness and peace—combined with a pointillist motif, into a hybrid three-layer material.

※Three-layer fabric consists of three bonded layers: an outer layer, a middle layer (such as a specialized film), and an inner lining. The special film in the middle layer provides waterproof functionality while maintaining breathability, preventing stuffiness inside the garment. This unique material achieves the seemingly contradictory functions of being waterproof yet breathable.

This item is designed as unisex and comes in one size that fits most body types, featuring a relaxed silhouette with a roomy fit.

Care Instructions

Machine washable (use a laundry net).
Do not dry clean.
Do not tumble dry.

Please note that color may transfer to other items due to moisture (such as sweat or rain) or friction.
Dark-colored items may bleed, so avoid washing with other garments, especially white or light-colored ones.
For off-white or light-colored items, please use a detergent that does not contain fluorescent brighteners.
Avoid soaking in water for an extended period.
After washing, reshape promptly and dry in the shade.
Do not use a tumble dryer after washing.
Use a laundry net when washing.
When ironing, use a pressing cloth.

"IKI法被"

法被とは江戸時代の職人が来ていた正装で、今ではお祭りなどの行事に着用されることが多い伝統的な衣装です。シャツや羽織と同じように法被が当たり前のitemに戻るよう、日本人が着こなせる服として普及させる為IKIらしい現代のパターンに変えて製作しました。

①IKI BASEのBODY    

BASEはゆったりとした身幅、通常よりゆとりをもたせた袖幅で小柄155cmの方から180cmの方まで着用できるsize感です。現状1のみ（モデル着用参照）

撥水や3レイヤー、リップストップなどハイテクな素材を採用

⑤シルエット　

サイドのボタンで調整できるスリットはTシャツなどインナーとのレイヤードを楽しむ機能とシルエットを変えれる機能があります　

⑥羽織紐　

アクセントとなる羽織紐にはリフレクターが編み込まれたコードを採用一点ずつ丁寧に編まれています

素材について　

青海波✖︎点描（日本の伝統文様で半円を連続させて波を表した文様、幸福や平和が永く続くことを願う吉祥文様）3レイヤーに落とし込んだ素材。※3レイヤー生地とは 表地と中間層(フィルムなど特殊素材)、そして裏地の3層を圧着させてできている能素材です。 中間層の特殊フィルムにより、生地に防水性能を持たせつつ、透湿性を確保することで、洋服内がむれにくくなっており、水は通さないが、蒸れにくいという一見矛盾する機能を両立した素材です。

洗濯機可・ネット使用, ドライクリーニング不可, 乾燥機不可。　この商品は撥水加工を施しています。加工は永久的ではありません。クリーニングや水洗いで徐々に取れます。加工が取れた際は、クリーニング店にて再加工をお勧めします。この商品は汗や雨等で湿った状態、または摩擦によって、他の物に色移りしますのでご注意下さい。濃色は色落ちする可能性がありますので、他の物(特に白、淡色)とのお洗濯はお避け下さい。生成り・淡色には蛍光増白剤の入っていない洗剤をご使用下さい。長時間の水への浸漬はお避け下さい。洗濯後は速やかに形を整えて陰干しをして下さい。水洗い後の乾燥機のご使用はお避け下さい。クリーニングネットを使用して下さい。アイロン掛けの際は、あて布をご使用下さい。
